Tungsten Rings Are Not a Danger to Wear

Tungsten Rings have been very quickly growing in their popularity as wedding bands for men and women. Most people are very drawn to their beauty immediately, but one common misconception that many hold about Tungsten Rings is that they can’t be removed in case of an emergency. Because of this false impression many choose not to purchase a Tungsten carbide ring. This mistaken belief is definitely not true! Tungsten Rings can be removed just as easily and painlessly as gold or platinum rings, just using a different tool! Having he correct knowledge of what should be done, and the proper tool is all that is needed! Tungsten carbide is naturally quite strong, hard, rigid, and will not bend under any circumstance. Because of that, standard ring cutters that can cut through gold or platinum may not work on tungsten carbide rings. Instead, most jewelry shops and emergency rooms have a special tool designed specifically for tungsten carbide and titanium rings. We contacted a number of local emergency rooms, which all stated that they have the equipment necessary to remove a tungsten carbide ring.

In cases of non-emergency ring removal, the removal can be done at home as well. Just as easily as gold or platinum rings. Place vice grip style pliers on the ring and adjust the jaws to clamp lightly. Once you have accomplished that step, release and adjust tightener one-third turn and then clamp again. Repeat until you hear a cracking sound and then continue the clamping process in different positions until the ring breaks apart completely. This is a very straightforward method that can be done!

Do not let the fear of not being able to remove a tungsten carbide ring keep you from checking them out. Tungsten is the only metal that can stay permanently polished. The Tungsten carbide rings are well known as the Permanently Polished Rings. That means that the polish and finish can and will last forever. Unlike gold and platinum rings, the surface of a tungsten ring will maintain its original shiny finish. A Tungsten Carbide ring is quite unique in the sense of its hardness. It is about ten times harder than 18K Gold, five times harder then tool steel, and has 4 times the strength of titanium. Many wearers also enjoy the solid weight of a tungsten ring. Check out the great selection of tungsten carbide rings at many online retailers.

The Hottest Crafts in Town

One mans trash can be another man’s treasure. This is the golden rule of home made crafts.I learned how to make my first toothbrush bracelet in the sixth grade and have become a devoted re-shaper ever since. Crafting using recycled materials is almost unlimited. I’ve seen dresses made out of Fabric Shower Curtain , earrings made out of guitar picks and even chairs made out of Shower Curtain Rods ! Making things yourself saves money and personalizes everything! I am becoming a pro at making record bowls, toothbrush bracelets, and tote bags.

Record bowls are always my back-up gift. If I forget about a birthday or feel my present is inadequate, I can always just whip one up. It is literally a bowl made out of a record. I began making these when I saw an article online instructing how to make record cups, but I didn’t succeed with that. First thing to do is get record. I highly recommend going to consignment shops in your area. Most of these sell old records of various sizes ranging from 25-50 cents in price. I try to find ones that have bands I know; or ones with cool designs. Once you have records, you simply need an oven, an oven-safe bowl, and a cookie sheet. Preheat your oven to around 350 degrees and place the bowl face down on the cookie sheet. Situate the record one the bowl so that the circle of the record aligns with the circle on the bowl. As the record heats, it will take the shape of the bowl but don’t worry about it melting to the bowl because it says pretty cool and firm. You can bend the edges to give your bowl a unique look.
Toothbrush bracelets are cheap, fun and always in style. You may be worried about comfort or appearance, but trust me, they are great. Children’s toothbrushes are the perfect size and come in funky designs. This requires little equipment and time, all you need is a pot, water, pliers, and tongs. First, pull the bristles off the brush. Next, boil the water and add the toothbrush. As the toothbrush gets softer, lift it out and bend it with the tongs. Place aside to cool and your set!

Tote bags are harder than the other two items, but not too difficult. Find two patterned fabrics, thread, and a sewing tool. Cut out four squares of fabric, two of each. Sew the edges of each similar-patterned fabric together and turn one inside out. Sew the two pieces together. The purse body is finished, now you just have to buy or make handles. Once you add the handles, you have your own completely one-of-a-kind tote bag!

Crafts are timeless activities that are convenient and cheap. They can save you from buying a ten dollar bracelet and instead making one for two dollars! It’s also a great way to add a unique flare to your style. People have made careers and fashion industries based on recycled materials. It’s a growing fad, and you better jump in now!
