Getting A New Job As A Warhammer Painter, And How You Might Make A Successful Career From Doing Something You Enjoy.

Warhammer is a massively popular game, which centres around building and painting your own armies of figures, and then pitching them against other people at home or at the many competitions and games night which are held on a recurring basis around the country. Due to the features of the game, Warhammer for many is big part of their lives, with people dedicating hours and hours to building and painting their figures ready for battle. This means that there is generally a great deal of potential here for different Careers which revolve around the game, specifically when it comes to painting the figures. I am going to talk about the potential for people who have the talent to develop a New career as a painter for Warhammer, and the several options you have available to you for making money. As far as New careers go this really is only going to be good for people who already have a huge interest either in Warhammer or painting the figures – if you are hunting for a New career path to go down and are just hunting for some ideas I recommend looking into the game of Warhammer itself first of all.

Now if you are hoping for New careers which will permit you to paint Warhammer figures to earn a salary, you will of course have to be incredibly good at it. Now there are severalvariations you can do on this distinct type of career, and the wonderful thing about it is you can normally dictate how much work you accept. Some people just like doing this work part time, as an addition to another job they already have going, whereas some may want to take it on full time. A great deal of the money making work comes from charging people to paint their own armies for them, so they can obtaina professional look for their forces which they may not be able to accomplish by themselves. Some of the work can be somewhat time consuming, so you can charge rather a lot, as long as you can live up to the quality you are charging for! The models themselves are pretty small, so a very steady hand is necessary to be able to gain the highest levels of details from the figures. Another option people pursue is to paint figures and dioramas to incredible standards, and enter them into competitions to win money. This is the most taxing one to do as a full time job, as of course it is incredibly competitive, and you are not certain of any income. For this reason people either do this whilst they maintain other Careers, or enhance with painting other peoples armies as commission work. Doing it this way is an extremely popular choice, as it gives you the best of both worlds – you are able to spend a great deal of time practising your technique, and you are earning money whilst doing it.

So as you can see it is feasible to get a fulltime job as a painter for Warhammer. It is pretty taxing, and you really have to be very enthusiastic about this subject, but if you are it can be a very rewarding career path for you to pursue.

Making The Most Out Of Your Job When Trapped In A Call Centre

Tens of thousands of people throughout the country are stuck in jobs working in a call centre. A large percentage of these people never planned to take on these roles as their first Career Choices. Regrettably most of them end up trapped here and don’t enjoy the work at all. Call centres are notorious for being one of the more stressful jobs available, the non-stop calls and the absurdly high targets, coupled with relatively low pay make these rather unappealing as Career Choices. But what if you’re one of the people stuck in these jobs? What can you do about it? We all realise finding New Careers is hard and having call centre work on your CV isn’t much of a benefit. So why not make the most of your current role? There’s actually a remarkable amount of Careers to take on within the call centres, so let’s take a look at how you can better things.

As said earlier, not a lot of the agents in a call centre ever planned to stay there long term and because of this, they avoid looking at what’s on offer by developing these jobs. The first stepping stone you can take in these Careers would be to a supervisor job, or in the case of a technical help call centre, they are regularly referred to as Product Specialists. Generally these roles include helping others with their calls and helping the managers with certain tasks. Progressing to these positions is actually rather simple, if you’re hitting your targets and are sometimes praised for your work, simply talk to your manager and express an interest in this, you can often be put onto a learning trial and if successful, be given a full time place.

As soon as you become a product specialist, you can then look into progressing further. Depending on the call centre, there may be various options on offer for advancing these Careers. A number of call centres offer the chance to go back onto the phones, but on a “second tier” help, who are usually an escalation line for the main advisers. Another possibility is to simply grow that supervisor job into a manager position, so that you can manage your own team and make certain the advisers are hitting targets. Managers or Team Leaders can have rather a lot of work to do, ensuring the team is up to benchmarks, creating reports on the call stats and handling coaching and mentoring.

There are additional options that you can select if you wish to keep progressing these Careers. If managerial jobs don’t suit you, then perhaps think about moving into a training role. Usually call centres have trainers to prepare new staff and notify existing employees on updates and changes. Generally to obtain a trainers role you need to excel at your work, typically progressing from a product specialist. Otherwise, if you like the duties of managerial positions, you can try to move onto operations manager position after successfully proving you are competent and have handled a team for some time. You could be earning pretty decent wages by this step and the New Careers don’t stop there. So if you’re trapped in a call centre job try to make the most of it!

Group Or Solo Costumes?

Costumes can be really impressive, especially if the costume is very popular. If you are wearing the best-est costume in the party, you can be the center of attraction for that gathering. It is really a fantastic feeling to be the girl or guy of the night.

However, there is another way to be popular in a Halloween party without going solo. Going to a costume party in a group wearing costumes of the same theme is another way to be in the costume party spotlight. Individual costumes can be easily overshadowed by group costumes in a party. They will be more popular in a costume party than any individual, especially if they stick to their characters actions and mannerisms.

A group costume can be hard to organize at first, but if you manage to overcome the difficulties, it can be really rewarding First, you must look for people that would like to join you in your group costume idea then choose a theme that all of you will agree on. When choosing a costume theme, think about the number of people in your group. Choosing a group costume for 5 persons while your group consists of 4 or less people is really not a good idea. However, some costumes, like a Toy Story Alien Costume or an Oompa-Loompa costume, does not require a specific number of members in a group.

Assigning a character to a person can be the biggest problem of all in a group costume. This is really one heck of a problem, especially to children in a group costume. Some in your group will want to wear the most popular costume in the theme. This will cause some members of the group to argue who will wear the best costumes. In a superhero group, for example, more people will want to wear a Superman costume than a Flash or Martian Manhunter costume. However, you should take in consideration the physical appearance of the characters that you are gonna portray. A person that is too fat or too thin will surely not fit the bill as a Superman. However, if you can’t (or don’t want) to decide, there are always games of luck, such as a toss coin or rock, paper, scissors.

Going in group costumes is really a unique experience rather than just by going solo in a Halloween party. It can be a very rewarding experience, especially if you managed to overcome the obstacles involved. So organize a group and go to a costume party wearing Superhero costumes or a Toy Story Alien Costume and have lots and lots of fun.
